SWARTZ -- Mary G. Rasey Swartz, Aug. 11, 1895. Born June 11, 1831.  Aged 64 years, 2 months.

Mrs. Swartz was born in New York City, emigrated to Ohio and married Jacob Swartz, April 11, 1850.  She leaves a husband to mourn her death.  She died in the Lutheran faith, which faith she confessed by baptism under the ministry of Rev. M.L. Wilhelm.  She was buried in the Shelby Cemetery, her pastor administering comfort to the bereaved friends.  She was liberal to her church and died with much fortitude, though her sufferings were severe.  Her sickness was of but brief duration, but her sufferings were extreme.  A large gathering of friends were in attendance at the funeral.  She has left a lasting impression in the world for good.  And many will rise up and call her blessed.  Peace to her ashes.
